Working to perfect a new photoshop technique. I've always liked the look of cross-processed film and vintage photos, so here I tried to artfully combine the two looks.
I passed this old bus on a two-lane blacktop headed back from Carbondale, IL. It was abandoned and I loved the colors and golden patina. The sun seemed to be hitting it just right as I drove by, and I had to turn around and grab a few quick shots. There were others, but the light in this one was my favorite.
With this shot, I attempted to replicate a sort of 70's look and feel. The film images of that era had a real brown, gritty element about them. Murky shadows and dingy whites were a common factor, as well as film grain. I posted a higher res version of the same shot below to give a closer look at the grain and detail.
